SAM4S Cash Register Manuals
Documentation
Manuals by model
Every manual we publish is tied to the exact model it covers. If a document is not listed under your model, we have not verified that it applies to it - ask us rather than working from a manual for a neighbouring family.

Ask the SAM4s Expert
Get help with buying advice, model identification, manuals and documentation, documented error codes, replacement guidance, compatibility questions and basic troubleshooting.
Need a technician? For programming work, a register-down problem, or anything the assistant cannot resolve, start a support request so we can route the exact model and problem correctly.
Legacy SAM4S identification & replacement intake
The old model number is the starting point—not the replacement answer.
Older registers can look similar while using different keyboards, printers, ports, programming and peripherals. We use the exact model and the way the business operates to narrow the safest replacement or support path.
Common families in our manual library
Start by identifying the family, then confirm the exact model.
These names help narrow the search. They are not one-to-one replacement recommendations.
Replacing an older Casio, Sharp or other non-SAM4S register is a normal request. Send the exact old model and how the counter works and we will identify the closest current path.
Identify the exact model
Read the complete model from the identification label. A photo of the label and keyboard is more useful than a family name or a guess from appearance.
Capture what employees actually use
Note whether the keyboard is flat or raised, how items are entered, which departments or PLUs matter, and which reports the owner relies on.
List every connected device
Record scanner, scale, customer display, remote or kitchen printer, cash drawer and payment-terminal model numbers plus the connection type when known.
Preserve programming before broad changes
Print useful reports and use a supported backup or PC utility when available. Avoid initialization or broad resets until the current setup has been documented.
Match the workflow to a current solution
Only after the old setup is understood should a current traditional register, programmed package or POS upgrade be compared against it.
What to send us
A useful replacement request takes only a few details.
Replace the job the old register performs.
Compare the old workflow against current register capacity, keyboard style, printing, reporting and verified peripheral requirements. We do not publish an old-to-new model mapping unless the match is supported.
Support or programming may be enough.
If the register still matches the business and the problem is isolated, troubleshooting, programming help or a compatible accessory can be a better answer than replacement.
