Every printer below states its interface and exactly how much we can tell you about your register before you buy. Some carry a SAM4s-specific connection document; the rest carry manufacturer documentation only, and we say which is which.

View & buyA printer almost always needs programming on both sides: the register's port set to the right device function and baud, and the printer set to match. We do that with you rather than leaving you with a manual. Cable part numbers are not published by CRS, so we confirm the cable before anything ships.
Receipt printers are not universal. The right model depends on what is driving the printer and what the business needs printed.
Direct thermal printers use heat-sensitive paper and no ribbon. Impact printers use ribbon and are still useful where multipart or kitchen-style printing is required.
The connection must match the register, POS terminal or network. A driver-supported USB printer for a PC POS system may not work directly on a traditional register.
Confirm paper width, roll diameter, auto-cutter needs and whether the cash drawer is kicked from the printer.
Compatibility depends on the exact register model, interface, cable, firmware and programming. We verify the correct configuration before recommending an accessory. Send the register/POS model, existing printer model, connection type, paper width, whether a cash drawer plugs into the printer and where the receipt needs to print.
Accessories & peripherals
Each category below is bought the same way: identify the exact register or printer model first, then match the interface. We do not sell peripherals on the assumption that a connector fits.
Start with the register you own
Select the exact current register first. Its setup page uses our structured links for programming, supplies, protection and hardware, and hardware still has to pass the compatibility gate before it can be added directly.

Work it out together
The answer depends on the register and on what has to print where. A few steps and you will know which of the four printers you need, and what we still have to confirm.
Step 1 of 9: your business
At the end you get one of three answers: a package you can buy, a package to configure, or verification required — which means one part of the combination is not proven yet and we will confirm it before you spend anything. We would rather tell you that than sell you a scanner that turns out not to talk to your register.
