Star Micronics SP742ME is an impact kitchen printer for the hot side of a food-service counter, connected over Ethernet.
SKU: 39336532
Impact printing — the traditional choice for a kitchen, where heat and steam are hard on thermal paper
Ethernet interface, which suits a printer sitting away from the terminal
Auto cutter
Internal power supply
SP700 series, two-colour capable with the appropriate ribbon
How it is used with SAM4POS
A kitchen printer is mapped separately from the receipt printer built into your SAP-630II, so orders route to the kitchen while receipts continue to print at the counter. SAM4POS supports kitchen printer groups — grill, beverage, expediter and so on — and the routing is configured as part of the standard setup included with your terminal.
The built-in printer in the SAP-630II is a receipt printer. It is not a kitchen printer, and this does not replace it.
A kitchen printer is optional. Plenty of food-service counters run without one.

Read this before you buy an accessory
This tells you what kind of device the register supports. It does not tell you that a particular scanner, printer, scale or display will work with it — that depends on the exact model, cable, port programming and firmware, and still has to be confirmed. The accessories we have actually verified for this register are listed below.
These are exact products, matched to this exact register. Anything not listed here is not ruled out — it simply has not been verified yet, and we would rather tell you that than sell you a guess.
Documented does not mean plug-and-play: port programming, baud settings and the correct cable still have to be right, and that is what we confirm with you before anything ships.
Complete your system
Take card payments through the same system
Integrated payments mean the card terminal and the register talk to each other, so the sale is entered once and the totals agree at the end of the day.
Enter the sale once
No keying the total into a separate terminal, and no reconciling two sets of numbers because someone typed it twice.
One setup, one support call
The register, the peripherals and the payment side are set up together, so when something needs attention there is one number to ring.
Checked against each other first
We verify the register, the processing program and the integration path as one combination before recommending it, rather than assuming parts fit.
A processor change is not required to buy equipment. If you are already taking cards, send us a recent statement and we will tell you plainly whether a change is worth making.
