Read this before you buy an accessory
This tells you what kind of device the register supports. It does not tell you that a particular scanner, printer, scale or display will work with it — that depends on the exact model, cable, port programming and firmware, and still has to be confirmed. Integrated payments mean the card terminal and the register talk to each other, so the sale is entered once and the totals agree at the end of the day.
No keying the total into a separate terminal, and no reconciling two sets of numbers because someone typed it twice.
The register, the peripherals and the payment side are set up together, so when something needs attention there is one number to ring.
We verify the register, the processing program and the integration path as one combination before recommending it, rather than assuming parts fit.
A processor change is not required to buy equipment. If you are already taking cards, send us a recent statement and we will tell you plainly whether a change is worth making.
Zebra LS2208 1D handheld barcode scanner with USB cable and stand, SKU LS2208-SR20007R-NA. The LS2208 is Zebra’s long-running corded 1D scanner for retail checkout and other high-frequency barcode workflows.
This SAM4sDirect listing is for the LS2208 configuration identified by LS2208-SR20007R-NA and includes the USB cable and stand represented by the listing.
Only if the register supports the scanner interface and the register/scanner are configured correctly. A USB connector alone does not prove compatibility. The register also needs the barcode/PLU item programmed and the scanner must send data in the expected format.
For scanner-ready SAM4S models and interface guidance, see our cash register with barcode scanner guide.
The LS2208 is a 1D scanner, well suited to UPC/EAN and other conventional linear barcodes. If you need QR codes, mobile-screen codes or other 2D symbologies, choose a 2D imager instead.
