Description

Unitech TS100 is a hands-free presentation scanner for a counter where items are passed over the reader rather than picked up and pointed at.

SKU: TS100-SUCB00-SG

  • Reads standard UPC and other 1D barcodes
  • Reads 2D codes including QR
  • Reads barcodes from printed labels and from phone and tablet screens — useful where customers present coupons or tickets on a phone
  • Hands-free presentation scanning; small footprint for a tight counter
  • USB interface

Interface

This is the USB configuration. The TS100 family is also made in an RS232 serial configuration, but that is a different part number and this one is not it — you receive a USB scanner, not a scanner with both interfaces. If your register connects scanners over serial rather than USB, tell us and we will confirm what is available before you order.

Setup

Scanner-side configuration is carried out as part of the standard setup included with a new register. Nothing here arrives matched to your workflow.

Complete Your Register Setup

Everything this register comes with, and the few things worth adding. Options are off unless you turn them on.

Card payments

Processing is a separate decision from the register. You can buy any register here without changing processors.

Support

Setup support for your new register is included. Ask us if you want to discuss an ongoing support arrangement.

Compatibility

What we have verified so far.

What still has to be confirmed for your counter:
  • The manufacturer documents this at the series family level, not as a guaranteed match for one exact configuration.
  • The exact port and connector on your equipment has to be confirmed.
  • The exact cable has to be confirmed.
  • Port programming and device settings have to be confirmed.
  • The intended workflow has to be confirmed before anything is ordered.

Compatibility status: Verified. We confirm the exact configuration before recommending or shipping equipment.

Read this before you buy an accessory

This tells you what kind of device the register supports. It does not tell you that a particular scanner, printer, scale or display will work with it — that depends on the exact model, cable, port programming and firmware, and still has to be confirmed. The accessories we have actually verified for this register are listed below.

Accessories documented for this register

These are exact products, matched to this exact register. Anything not listed here is not ruled out — it simply has not been verified yet, and we would rather tell you that than sell you a guess.

Documented does not mean plug-and-play: port programming, baud settings and the correct cable still have to be right, and that is what we confirm with you before anything ships.

Complete your system

Take card payments through the same system

Integrated payments mean the card terminal and the register talk to each other, so the sale is entered once and the totals agree at the end of the day.

Enter the sale once

No keying the total into a separate terminal, and no reconciling two sets of numbers because someone typed it twice.

One setup, one support call

The register, the peripherals and the payment side are set up together, so when something needs attention there is one number to ring.

Checked against each other first

We verify the register, the processing program and the integration path as one combination before recommending it, rather than assuming parts fit.

A processor change is not required to buy equipment. If you are already taking cards, send us a recent statement and we will tell you plainly whether a change is worth making.
