Cash register + payment processing guidance
We look at the complete monthly cost, equipment, contract terms and checkout workflow before recommending a processing path.
What to send
Include the pages showing volume, transactions, rates, fees and monthly charges. Tell us what register or POS system you use, the payment terminal model, number of locations and what you want to improve.
Processor markup, assessments, recurring charges, equipment fees and the effective monthly cost.
Register, POS, terminal, gateway, cabling and integration requirements that affect the real solution.
Term, cancellation exposure and replacement timing that should be understood before making a change.
What happens at the counter, where delays occur and whether the current setup still fits the business.
Verified program information
Only programs confirmed with our processing partners are shown here. Anything not yet confirmed stays unpublished rather than implied.
Continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii
Which program and provider fit your business depends on your card volume, transaction mix, equipment and any agreement you are already in. We work that out with you during the review rather than asking you to pick a provider from a page.
Approval, pricing, equipment, funding and program availability are subject to underwriting, the provider's credit policy, and a written merchant agreement. Nothing here is an offer or a guarantee of approval.
Straight answers
No. A processor change is not required to buy a register. We discuss processing separately when it could improve the complete checkout setup.
No. A responsible comparison requires the complete statement, equipment requirements, business mix and written program terms. We compare the full cost and workflow rather than promise savings from a single rate.
Possibly. Compatibility depends on the processor, platform, gateway, terminal model, interface, cabling and whether the payment flow is separate or integrated. We verify the exact configuration before recommending it.
A register may support a separate terminal without supporting a particular integrated payment connection. Confirming the full workflow prevents equipment and programming surprises.
Two things worth reading before you decide: what PCI responsibility actually covers when a register takes cards, and how Florida service charges and card surcharges affect register programming.
Next step
A recent statement and the model names from your counter are enough to begin.
Before you send it
Four quick answers so the review comes back about your business rather than in general terms. Rough is fine, and not sure is a normal answer to all of them.
Step 1 of 9: your business
At the end you get one of three answers: a package you can buy, a package to configure, or verification required — which means one part of the combination is not proven yet and we will confirm it before you spend anything. We would rather tell you that than sell you a scanner that turns out not to talk to your register.
Switching assistance
Up to $500 in switching assistance
You may qualify for up to $500 toward eligible payment equipment, setup or programming, or documented switching costs. What you qualify for depends on your equipment, processing volume, the program you move to, underwriting and the written offer terms. We review your current setup and statement first, then show any approved assistance in writing.
We first check whether the equipment you already have can stay. If replacement equipment is needed, we can review available equipment assistance and show the exact terms before you decide.
Some qualifying proposals may include reduced or waived SAM4sDirect setup or programming work. Any credit or waiver is shown on the written proposal rather than assumed from a promotion.
If your current arrangement has an early-termination cost, equipment lease or payoff obligation, send the documentation with your review. We can determine whether switching assistance is available; your existing agreement remains between you and that provider.
We compare the complete current cost with the written proposed cost, including recurring fees and equipment where relevant. If your current arrangement is already the better choice, staying with it is a valid outcome.
Today this assistance is provided by SAM4sDirect. If a particular processing program contributes to your proposal as well, that will be stated in the proposal itself. Either way the help is itemized, so you can see exactly what is being credited and what you are responsible for.
Switching, explained
Changing processors is usually less disruptive than people expect, but it is not nothing, and you deserve to see the whole shape of it before you decide. Here is what actually happens, in the order it happens. We help you manage each step rather than handing you a checklist and wishing you luck.
What you pay now, how it is structured, and what you are actually getting for it. A recent, complete monthly statement tells us most of this.
The register or POS, the terminal, and everything plugged into them. What you own, and what belongs to somebody else, are different questions with different answers.
Whether payment is separate from your register or connected to it. This one answer decides how much of the rest is straightforward, so we confirm the integration rather than assume it.
Fit means your equipment, your integration, your business mix and your volume, not a headline rate on a comparison page.
Your existing agreement may have a term, a notice period, an early-termination provision, or leased equipment attached to it. We will help you read it and understand what it commits you to. What happens next is between you and that provider, and we will not pretend otherwise.
Sometimes none is needed. Where it is, we confirm compatibility for your exact configuration before recommending it, and where we have not verified something we say so instead of assuming it will be fine.
Underwriting is the provider's decision, on their credit policy, and it ends in a written merchant agreement. We help you prepare a complete application, which is the part that is actually within anyone's control.
Terminal or integration settings, your register programming where it is affected, and the details that decide whether the first live shift is calm.
Test transactions, refunds, tips and batching where they apply, and the reporting that has to reconcile afterwards.
Scheduled when it suits your week rather than ours, with the old arrangement kept available until the new one has settled. Plan the change for a quiet period, not a Friday night.
Sometimes the review says your current setup is fine and there is no reason to move. That is a real outcome and we will tell you plainly when we reach it. We would rather you stay where you are and trust what we told you than move and discover we were selling.
What we will not do is promise an outcome that belongs to somebody else. Approval, pricing and program availability rest with the provider and their underwriting, and any comparison worth acting on needs your complete statement in front of it.
