SAM4S ER-900 Cash Registers
The SAM4S ER-900 Series provides commercial electronic cash registers for retail and food-service workflows. The principal model differences are keyboard style, keyboard and department capacity, and printer configuration.
Correct ER-900 model comparison
| Model | Keyboard | Keys | Departments / NLUs | Printer | Typical direction |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ER-920E | Flat, programmable | 150 | 100 | Single station | Food service using an electronic journal |
| ER-940E | Flat, programmable | 150 | 100 | Dual receipt/journal | Food service requiring a printed journal |
| ER-915E | Raised key | 41 | 7 / 14 | Dual receipt/journal | Retail requiring a printed journal |
| ER-925E | Raised key | 52 / 94 | 21 / 63 | Single station | Retail using an electronic journal |
| ER-945E | Raised key | 52 / 94 | 21 / 63 | Dual receipt/journal | Retail requiring a printed journal |
Among the raised-key models, the practical difference is keyboard and department capacity rather than printing. ER-915E provides 41 keys and 7 / 14 departments; ER-925E and ER-945E provide 52 / 94 keys and 21 / 63 departments. ER-915E and ER-945E both print a receipt and a journal, so the choice between them is how many keys and departments the counter needs.

Specification values above are taken from current CRS USA documentation for the U.S. E-suffix catalog: the CRS USA SAM4S ECR Quick Reference Guide, together with the CRS USA ER-915E and ER-945E product pages. Item numbers are ER-915E 950092, ER-920E 950090, ER-925E 950091, ER-940E 950093 and ER-945E 950094. SAM4S international material describes an ER-900 line that is not framed identically to the U.S. E-suffix lineup, so it is not mixed in here.
Availability, suffixes, firmware and peripheral support must be confirmed before ordering. Scanner, scale, remote-printer and payment compatibility depend on the complete configuration.
