Unitech TS100 is a compact 1D/2D presentation barcode scanner designed for fast counter scanning. For SAM4s and other traditional electronic cash registers, choose the Serial / RS232 version when the register uses a serial scanner port.
The Serial / RS232 TS100 is the version intended for cash registers that require a serial barcode scanner connection. The SAM4sDirect serial kit includes the components needed to connect and power the scanner: serial interface cable, extension cable, and power supply.
Unlike USB, a standard RS232 scanner connection does not normally provide operating power to the scanner, which is why the serial configuration includes its own power supply.
