Common receipt paper sizes

2.25-inch / 58mm thermal paper: common in traditional electronic cash registers and compact printers.
3.125-inch / 80mm thermal paper: common in full-size external POS receipt printers.
Impact / bond / carbonless paper: for printers that use a ribbon or need multi-ply copies; not interchangeable with thermal paper.

How to choose the correct roll

Match the exact cash register or printer model, then confirm paper width, outside roll diameter, paper type and core. A roll can be the correct width and still be too large for the paper compartment.
